I'm not sure if this problem is related but I've had various problems
since updating to OS 10.2.3. Anyway I checked on the US Apple support
forum and there seems to be a huge amount of very unhappy Mac users
discussing a whole heap of different problems associated with OS
10.2.3. The people on the site are generally describing this OS
version as unstable, however there have also been comments about some
people being effected while others escape trouble free and people
haven't been able to figure out why yet. Apple is probably under a
fair amount of pressure to fix these problems now and will hopefully
bring out an update in a relatively small amount of time.

Received an email from a Real Estate agent with an embedded gif and it
froze
Entourage. Happened in OS9 AND OSX running Ent. In Classic mode. Then
Entourage wouldn't even quit in 10.2, and Mac had trouble with soft
restart
so I restarted (G4/450 SP running 10.2.3)using restart button.
Now iTunes 3 and Safari won't work. (iPhoto and Explorer will). The
dock has
lost the icons that I put in there. Anyone have any ideas what to do? Is
there a preference file or something that I delete?
