Hi all

Strange query this one. Does anyone ever have problems with menus not "sticking"

I find sometimes that when I click on a menu item it doesn't always stay down. It's an off again on again problem, and not consistent. Sometimes when I click a menu choice it will stay down, other times it's like running pre OS 8, (you have to hold the mouse button down for the menu to stay)

Although not life threatening, it is very annoying as I am so used to the menu staying down, that I go to choose something, and find I have to do it three or four times to get it "recognised" ( or hold the button down and get RSI) ;o)

I have trashed the finder preferences, quit the affected program at the time (to no avail), even rebuilt the machine. It's not program specific, it's not time or day specific, it just does it when it feels like it. Even seconds apart. One second you click a menu it works, next time it doesn't, the two seconds after that it works again. Why???? :o(

I am running Mac OS 10.2.3 on a G4 DP1GHz MDD. It's running a Logitech 2 button Optical Mouse, but this doesn't make a difference using the apple mouse. I have adjusted all the System Preference in relation to clicking etc, but this makes no difference either.

I have checked the archive, Apple TIL, and google to no avail. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. (Please help save my sanity!) :o)

Kind Regards
Daniel Kerr
