Just installed Jaguar, along with Gimp print so I can print to the laserjet.
Installed software okay, have cable and printer connected and on.
print center , option add printer, advance, select HP then pcl3, okay
is greyed out and cancel is available.
could this be a cable issue.
note in <http://sourceForge.net/forum> someone else has successfully
connected and printed jaguar to IIIP laserjet
I updated Powerprint 4.5.7 to version 5.0 last week, but it wouldn't
work in OS 9.2.1 (Its suppose to according to strydent), even though
works fine in OS 8.6 Using a powerprint 4..5.7 cable.
Emailed strydent, they suggested get a later cable.
So I am wondering that it may be a cable issue.
Can someone , if any one knows, explain why a change in OS would
require a change in cable , what are would be the differences in
hardware and software to require such a change.
