Hi all
Has WAMUG been quiet of late or are their problems again. I have
spoken to two people now who are not getting any of the WAMUG emails
or are posting and getting things bounced.
I have checked mine with the yahoo website, and I did miss a day of
email's, but now everything seems to be fine again. (i.e I have the
correct number of emails matched to the WAMUG archives on yahoo)
Is this just happening to a few people, or is this something with yahoo???
Yahoogroups has the occasional mail problem (it does handle a lot of
mail). Combined with problems caused by the Microsoft SQL worm over
the weekend it's likely that messages may have been delayed.
I'm not sure what's causing the bouncing though. Frequently
subscribers have misconfigured their e-mail so that their return
address contains their mail server's name, ie
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]" rather than the desired reply-to address
ie "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", which can cause bouncing.
