Dear Wamugers, I am trying to find a way to deal with filenames longer than 31 characters.
Till now I have done it the hard way. Manually renaming them. Mainly Mp3s and saved Web pages (if we forget to shorten the name while saving:( Creating backups this way is a big job, going through and checking all the files. I wish there was an extension or something.......... We are using OS 8.6 connected to Win2k via Dave 2.5.1. Our number one problem is creating CDs with the Mac. I long to be able to just drop network folders straight into Toast 4.1. Any tips or solutions will be hugely appreciated. Thanks Paul and Vicki [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
