Hi fellow WAMUGgers Just read an interesting piece in TidBits about a new Powerbook/iBook stand which effectively stands the Power/iBook almost vertical thus creating more space and placing the screen at eye level (you obviously need to use an external keyboard!). The reviewer of this piece couldn¹t get hold of the new stand and so tried a standard document stand in its place, with good results.
I¹ve just tried the same trick with my Powerbook on a document stand, and with a bit of adjustment and a safety restraint to stop it falling over if bumped, it works a treat. The only question in my mind is whether the CD/DVD drive may not operate as it should through being at such an angle. Can anyone with more technical expertise comment?
