Here's a very interesting little article! http://www.macnn.com/news/19031
Seems now that Micro$oft have bought Virtual PC, RWB have committed to resuming development of RealPC, with a promise to one correspondent that he will see something "in the next 30 days". Apparently, it turns out that when RWB bought RealPC and SoftWindows from Insignia, they actually signed an agreement with Connectix NOT to develop RealPC (or SoftWindows) in competition with VPC (too much for my tiny brain, I'm afraid...). Since that agreement was with Connectix, and not M$, FWB now feel free to resume development. Seems to me that if they can promise results within the next 30 days, development might have been continuing privately anyway. The 17 responses to the article make interesting reading as well. -- Peter Hinchliffe Apwin Computer Services FileMaker Pro Solutions Developer Perth, :::::::::::::::::::::::: Western Australia Phone (618) 9332 6482 Fax (618) 9332 0913 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Mac because I prefer it -- Windows because I have to.
