Actually, the way it is these days, the resellers get notified *after* everyone else.
Whenever there's an update to Apple's product range, the info and pricing is on the Australian AppleStore web site straight away (ie night time here, daytime in America). I saw the price changes at about midnight last night. This morning the resellers were notified of the price changes. So the end user customers get to find out these things *before* the resellers do! Regards, Phil >>Do resellers get notified of price/spec changes in advance? >> > >No! We find out the day Apple tells the rest of the world. As you can imagine, >we sometimes get some 'terse' people on the phone who bought new Macs a couple >of days before announcments. That's Apple's policy, and we all live with it :-) > >(And if anyone bought a Powerbook/iBook last week, we didn't know the price >was going to drop!!!!!!) -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sent from the Apple PowerBook G4 of: Phillip McGree Web: http://www.phil.net.au Perth, Western Australia http://chat.iinet.net.au Mobile Phone: 0418 922 500 Macs for sale - new and secondhand http://mac.iinet.net.au Disclaimer: This transmission is intended for people that have functioning eyesight and literacy.
