mine "kicks ass" still after 4+ years, runs latest everything and is
still only 333mhz... and the yoyo is fine once you replace the fire
hazard cord with the thicker version.

I think to some degree it's the luck of the draw. Mine's (touch wood)
still going fine, and I'd probably regard it as the best Mac purchase
I've ever made, despite the dodginess of the yo-yo power adaptor.
