seemingly a solution to Mac OS X 10.2 and Telstra Cable (Broadband)
problem I queried about a week ago:
thanks to those who assisted with this.
the solution seems to be to use a 3rd party "donationware" program
called "Launch!"
have not given it a long term whirl but after 2 hours of testing
including large downloads, rebooting, reconnecting etc we encountered
no problems.
Version 2.2 of Launch! is available:
