I'm sure one of the committee members will discuss this further, on list, so that the rest of you thinking about .Mac may be enlightened.

Well, for my part, I have renewed my .Mac account. I really feel that I have covered the cost of subscription with the various software deals which have come through during the year, but the most valuable part to me is access to Home Page through iPhoto. The time saved in putting family photos to the web using this service, has more than paid for itself, especially as other members of the family can do it as well when they're here. Sure, I could use the WAMUG site, but this would mean designing and maintaining something by hand, and would consequently much more difficult for others to use (not to mention the fact that I would actually have to get around to doing it!).

Mind you, I would have a completely different attitude if I didn't have a broadband account, in which case I don't think .Mac would be useable.
