I want to print to an Epson Colour Stylus 740 in a mixed OS9/OS X
ethernet network. Is this possible:
1 Connecting Epson 740 USB cable to eMac running OS X 10.2.6 with
GimpPrint and CUPS installed.
Print Center recognises the printer with GimpPrint driver but when
printing documents it won't load to 100% to print. Why?
Assuming this can be resolved...
2 Connecting Epson 740 Mac printer-type cable to 5500/225 running OS 9.1
3 Enabling Shared printing on eMac so that other OS X machines, such as
the AirPorted iBooks, will print to it, and
4 By installing EpsonShare 1.6.2
(http://www.pro-soft-solutions.com/epsDwn.htm) on the 5500, and other
OS9 Macs, ranging from a tray loaded iMac to a Performa 6400 and beige
G3...
5 Being able to print to the 740 from any Mac in the school
6 Except perhaps the Classic running OS7, and it's not networked anyway!
Any creative help welcomed.
