Hi everyone. I have a G3 running under Mac OS X (10.2.8)-- and get
onto the internet with a cable modem (Nortel Networks) and
distribute it through a Linksys Etherfast cable /DSL Router mod no
BEFSR41. This works fine as long as you keep using. :-) but if you
go away and come back 4 hours later you are no longer on the Net.
The 'Cure' is to pull power plugs and 'Reset' the the cable modem
and with luck you are now back on line.
I think this is something to do with the Heart beat and not being a
Cardiologist :-( I do not know the treatment. Is there a Dr in the
house?

Reports seem to indicate that if you install 10.2.8 you may also need
to update the firmware in your LinkSys router:
