I have a copy of the freeware LimeWire to use to search and download music
from the internet. So far I have been unable to download nothing. It keeps
cutting out.
Is there a better program to do this?
Apparently LimeWire is spyware/stealware, you should uninstall it and the
shadowy LimeShop that gets installed with it, have a look at:

Sad but not entirely surprising, such things do not endear them self
to the masses... mind you I found no explicit technical evidence of
this having downloaded and installed several versions on my sand pit
mac (not saying limeshop "spyware" doesn't exist just it's well
hidden if it does)
anyway limewire, how should I say it....
well Bart Simpson said it best... it "both sucks and blows at the same time".
In an effort to avoid "having" to rip several hundred vinyl records
to MP3 (for my iPod) I installed lime wire. OK so the searching did
come up with acceptable number of hits on the more popular tracks but
only about one in 20 downloaded and of those there was a fair amount
of data corruption and user dishonesty (putting shortcuts/aliases
instead of the real file or a different - shorter- MP3 altogether)
made it a pointless exercise so I went back to the turntable and iMic.
