back when the wax cylinder was new and being heralded as the new
wonder of the world one of the duo of Gilbert and Sullivan was quoted
as (though I paraphrase due to memory lapse)
"it (the advent of recording technology)will result in the so much
bad music being preserved for all posterity"
The more times change the more they stay the same?
Time magazine puts it about Apple's GarargeBand .... "...to put
together a professional-sounding tune... you don't even need much
talent".

mind you to go the full hog you'll need the dosh if not the talent -
