once upon a time there was a software company called KPT who quitely
released a program called "Bryce", there was also an impressionable
young student who would frequent the university's computer store.
When the program and the student met they knew there was something
special about to happen and the student learnt many new things ...
like it is possible to survive on less than 2 hours of sleep a day...
for about a a week, and that faster IS better when it comes to 3D
rendering, and that nice new machines cost money that require a job
and so the student got a job at the said computer shop and upgraded
his LC to a 6100 so that a Bryce scene would render in hours not
days, the same ,now ex, student owns a 1Ghz G4 and on the occasions
that he cares to fire up Bryce renders in seconds and minutes.
....well GarargeBand was like a little reminder that although that ex
student is older and (possibly) marginally wiser there are still
somethings better than sleep.....
3 days of GB ownership 5 hours of sleep and a 40G hard disk full of
GarargeBand noodlings....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
