Of course I did think the machine that formatted it to "Mac only" would be able to do that.
Does not seem to be possible.

Does anybody know what I can use to do this Format please ?

I cannot find a Mac utility that will both recognise the Drive and
provide a format in MS-Dos...... I think that's what it needs to be ! ?

Disk Utility in /Applications/Utilities is the tool you want. Just one thing to be aware of—you will see your device listed "twice": once as the device itself, and the volume it contains listed underneath and indented slightly. Make sure to choose the Device itself, not the volume name. Only the device choice has the MS-DOS formatting option. If you choose the volume then the MS-DOS option is not available.
