I have a sony vaio -yes I can say that with minimal shame, I think- that is in need of a backlight for the screen. Does anyone know where I can get one sony wants me to buy a new screen for $500- I'd not spend that on a wintel machine -there I am better now. But it would make a handy under the desk backup for wintel only programmes.
