I've set it up a couple of times on my dad's iMac and PowerBook, with them configured to phone home to my email account... It seems to work extremely well. Haven't actually been able to real-world test it yet, because the machines haven't been stolen... but oh well ;) If I remember correctly, the initial configuration can be slightly confusing, but nothing too bad.
