Hi digital camera buffs,
I am running into a little problem importing digital stills.
For reason of being locked into a very specialised app which is STILL
not OSX compatible, I find during my work I have a problem importing
pictures. Hardware:
Nikon Coolpix 5000
CompactFlash
PC Card Adaptor
PowerBook Bronze G3 @ 333
OS 9.2.2
The card mounts fine as a PC disc image, and the JPEGs are easily
opened and displayed with PictureViewer. They copy to the HDD or are
removed on trashing and Empty Trash. The problem is on ejecting the
card.
I drag the image to the Trash and the proverbial strikes the appliance:
- Finder crash with the finder unable to mount the internal HDD image
(little flickers of the image then it vanishes). Control apple restart.
I can still physically eject the card with its adaptor, and after a
restart all is fine again.
Any other sad individuals in the group still importing images into
9.2.2? Have you faced this problem, and is there a solution? Other than
using iPhoto and running other SW under Classic - the accursed
specialised app in question is a bit crashy under Classic.
