new G4 with Os 10.3
original iMac with OS 8.6
how do I set up a network connection between these two computers, as
my attempts have failed .
i can set them to connect in via OSX, but not in 8.6?
I have a crossover cable and need to keep the iMac @ 8.6 (even
though it has 9.2 and 10.2.8 on it as well) so that I can print to my
vintage HP laserjet printer.
I have the OS X for Dummies book but that has no help for connecting
to an older OS.
And once this is setup up, can I
share the modem internet connection ( dialed up in G4)
can share the printer ( connected to iMac via powerprint USB)
