Hi Dear WAMUG'ers, Many thanks to Shay for his suggestion and Daniel for offering to help me. I eventually downloaded the DiskWarrior update v3.0.2, and I must say that Alsoft did a very good job with their installer. It created and burnt a new bootable disk after reading my original V3.0.1, and presto! I now can boot the G5 beast without any problem. My faith in Alsoft has been restored and my computer is now back on track with its newly rebuilt directory, and I get to keep a newly burnt CD of V3.0.2. Merçi to all, Philippe C PS I'm sorry I did not check your previous posting Shay. Shame on me!
