They run a lower level fixed firmware, which you can boot the router
into and use to restore the operation firmware...

Which is good, as you'll need to upgrade the firmware often (using a
PC) :(
Does anyone else's DLink hang when every time you try to do an audio
iChat? Or am I just lucky?
I noticed recently on a webpage which had firmware updates for popular
ADSL modems that there are none for my Netcomm NB1300.
This I have taken to be a good sign as they hopefully have got it right
first go.
Also every one I have installed since has given no trouble, touch wood.
