There's a lot of argument about what spam is. In this case I agree that it is not. On the other hand, I work at a newspaper. I get an incredible torrent of garbage from people who've used/bought one of the many 'newspaper and media email address' lists floating around the 'net. 95% of it would IMHO most definitely qualify as spam - but in the UBE, not UCE sense.
