Hmm. I use a nice HP JetDirect card in my HP4MP, and it works a treat. Admittedly, I don't print to it via OSX, but it should work fine. JetDirect cards aren't hard to come by on eBay. Just a thought. Of course, that's a suggestion for if your iPrint adapter turns out to be part of the problem - I'm not suggesting that you leap out to buy new hardware that may not help with your problem.
