I have been using Spin Doctor 1.5.1 (which came with Toast Titanium
5) to transfer LPs to CD.
The editing features are a bit minimal. I would like to be able to
cut out pops neatly but when I select one the Edit options are all
dimmed. The best I can do is to apply the pop filter to the selection.
I tried cutting the pops out using a trial version of Peak LE and
this works well, but the latest version is a bit expensive for my
limited needs, as is Sound Soap which sounds as if it performs
miracles.
Does anyone know if Spin Doctor 2 which comes with Toast 6 is any
better in this respect. I have not bothered to upgrade as Toast 5
runs under Panther.
