Open the accounts preferences on both macs. Note exactly the user name and passwords for both macs. If the user name of mac-1 is bill and the p/w is flower Then from mac-2 connect to mac-1 and enter bill and flower. You will have access to the whole hard drive as you have authenticated as the owner. Reverse the above to gain access the other way. Most people just get confused about which password they are supposed to be entering. Hope that helps Rob
