Thanks to James. Jude. Tom, Russell & Rob for your responses - much
appreciated.
Just to nail this as I'm still just a little bit unclear:
QT Pro is not on the FCP discs, so the correct procedure appears to be
to simply upgrade the non-pro version by registering the Pro serial
number.
I have now registered my existing normal QuickTime player with the Pro
serial number. In registration box, it shows QuickTime 6 Pro, so that's
all fine.
The actual QuickTime Player I launch from the dock remains the normal
(non-pro) version 6.5.2. So are the unlocked Pro features embedded and
specific just to Final Cut use, and the stand-alone player remains just
the normal so I don't have Pro use for anything outside of the FCP app?
This would mean I would have to purchase QuickTime Pro for separate
use?
Thanks for bearing with me.
Matt
