I belive Peter Norton doesn't have anything to do with the company these

Hi all,
From an ISP helldesk point of view, anything made by Norton since 2002
is the biggest source of email and browsing issues that I have seen
in a
long time. Every few weeks, it updates itself and manages to break a
decent number of pc's.
It makes a grunty machine run like a 386 and trying to uninstall it
sometimes ends up causing more issues than when it was installed.
Ditto here. I (foolishly) just installed Norton on my PC laptop, and
it now
runs slower than any machine I've owned since the 80's. In fact,
Norton may
as well position itself as a commercial virus, considering what it has
done
to my machine ;-(
Thankfully, I only have to use the PC for a couple of programs.
Ta,
Andrew

Personally I cant find a thing wrong with free AVG antivirus and free
Zone Alarm...
I began using AVG when Norton AntiVirus couldnt remove a low grade virus
from a clients machine, they had actually purchased System Works. Ironic no?
It doesn't even slow old (166mhz) machines down. Quite good.
