Can anyone help with this question?
I have been doing a throw out of old computers and salvaged bits
from some old 7200 machines.
Thus I have the RAM from a 7200/90. Will this be compatible with
the 7220/200? Both machines built in 1995.
I am obliged to use the latter machine because of its connection to
a piece of equipment in a lab. Bill

7220 was introduced early 97 ( if there was a 200Mhz Mac built in 95
I would have hocked my family in to slavery to buy one - as it was I
had to wait till 97 to do that when the 7300/200 released at the same
time as the 7220)
that said and all pedantry aside
If I recall they use the same RAM form 172 pin 3.3 volt DIMMS but
that the 7220 needed faster memory - going by the tech site 60ns v's
70 ns. If the chips in the 7200 are original apple stock they
probably will be the older slower speed of 70 ns otherwise try it
and see if it is stable
Note that I think 7220 could only go to about 160Mb RAM even with
larger memory and I think this is not an Aplle figure based on
available chips at the time but an actual hardware limitation
(though my recollection is vague as I have only ever came across one
or two 7220)
