Funny I should mention supply problems:

In short, Toshiba can't make enough chips for flash drive products. The
shortage is mainly attributed to the huge demand for the iPod Shuffle!
In some ways half the problem is the secrecy Apple have surrounding their
products. Its a double-edged sword - tell everyone about impending products
(to get a better projection of future demand), but cannibalise current
sales; or keep quiet, unleash the product with some stock then run out
quickly for months on end, not knowing when the next batch will come
through. Must be really tough on resellers who find out when new products
are released at the same time as the rest of the world!
