Hi all,
have just done a clean re-install of Panther, then used software update
to bring everything up to speed.
However, this means I have downloaded Hard Drive Update which
automatically runs and tells me:
"Hard Drive Update has located 1 or more drives on your computer which
need updated firmware"
I have 2 drives - one with the new os on, and another with all my back
ups on!!!
Somewhat irritatingly, it doesn't say which hard drive requires the
update but it does go to great lengths to tell me I should back-up the
data from the mystery drive!
Q1: Are there likely to be any negative effects from NOT doing this HD
update?
Q2: Is there any way to find out which drive it will effect?
Q3: How wise am I to proceed with this update sans a re-backup to disc
of everything? (i.e is it most likely the boot drive?)
