I have just been through this and had some great advice from mac people.
After initially looking at the Motorola V620 with bluetooth, etc I had
no joy at all with syncing to my powerbook
I have bought the relatively new Sony Ericsson K700i phone, and it
works perfectly with bluetooth and the powerbook.
A really nice phone too although not CDMA but is GSM
