The whole point of WEP is that it's 'Wired Equivalent Privacy'. It'd
take them about 3 minutes (or less) to tap your ethernet, so
equivalently it'd take them about 3 minutes to get into your base
station.
Anyone really concerned about security isn't relying on WEP anyway.
Another interesting sideline is once I connected my PB to the wireless
(siemens) via WPA it actually connected a lot smoother at least once a
day and stayed connected. WEP I would have problems connecting after
moving position in some cases just a couple of feet or if PB goes too
sleep even just a screen sleep, only solution I found was enabling SSID
but, WPA no such problem or enabled SSID.
