Hey all,
Just thought I'd run an improptu survey. With Tiger coming out soon
I'm definitely upgrading but the quesiton is *when*? Panther broke a
few things when it came up and that wasn't resolved for a month or
two, will people be switching to Tiger straight away or waiting a bit?
Also, I'm mulling over a fresh install of Tiger and bringing across
files etc vs doing an upgrade. Any thoughts on this? What's everyone
else doing?

I'm going to archive and install on my Powerbook (after backing up, of
course!) and see how it goes. My Powerbook is usually a test bed for
software and such, so I'm not too concerned if things go bung. Its the
only way Apple are going to get feedback if things are bung on their
new OS!
But I will wait with my MDD G4. At the moment things are running sweet
and I don't particularly want to disrupt that until I know 10.4 is
okay.
Also depends on what you want to run. New features of Motion require
10.4, so upgrading has to be done. Smart people might partition their
drives or put in an extra drive, then installing a fresh 10.4. Keeps a
working 10.3 on another drive and can still try out 10.4!
