I would be interested to hear the advice from the experts on which way
to go in updating to Tiger when I collect my copy at 6.01pm tomorrow.
In going from Jaguar to Panther I took the easy way and did a simple
update (after backing up everything of course!) and had no problems.
Currently Panther 10.3.9 seems to be running smoothly and I am tempted
to go the same path. I worry, however, whether I should not do an
"Archive and Install" to ensure a nice new, clean system despite the
significant extra work or to go the whole hog and do a full clean
install and reinstall all my software etc with the really massive
amount of extra work that that will involve.
Opinions welcomed on this one about which I am sure others are also
thinking.
