Preview still uses drawers, it's specifically Mail that's lost the
drawer completely; they haven't changed how drawers are generally
implemented so other apps still have the choice.

Is it only Mail that's lost its flexibility? (I also keep my drawer on
the right.) What about apps like Preview (for example), which in
Panther
can have their drawers on either left or right?
