Does anyone know if Spotlight works for Quark (specifically 6, but
any would
do) docs, or do you have to get a plug-in for it (and any other
specific
types of docs). I know it doesn't work for Entourage.
It does show up some words in the Quark user dictionary.

Developers need to write plugins for Spotlight to work with their
formats. That's why so far it only works with the built in stuff
that ships with Tiger, plus well known formats like pdfs and rtf
files. In saying that, it does work with Word files (I just tried it
out then :-) Even though developers have had access to Tiger for
quite a few months before the rest of us, I think they were more
concerned with making sure their products were Tiger-friendly, rather
than if Spotlight would search their files.
If I am wrong, please correct me!
