Hi All!
I am *almost* in the market for a G4 400 Tower. Does anyone know
what the current market price is for one of these beasties? The Mac
will be running 10.2 Server, with the following services:
Mail
File Sharing (SMB and Mac)
Eventually hosting Webobjects database for local use only
DHCP server
Some sort of Firewall, as there are dastardly PCs on the network :-)
At this stage there will only be 3 users connected to the server,
maybe more in the distant future. Would even a B&W G3 be good enough
for this (with lots of ram)?
It seems the amount of 400s have gone to ground again, so just
wondering what I can get away with (Dad doesn't really want to spend
heaps, and I would rather use a tower than an old iMac with one
ethernet port).
Any other ideas?
