Hi All,
Now here is a switch .... A note on the Commbank site .....

why can't I now?
NetBank no longer supports Internet Explorer with Apple MAC. It
is recommended that you upgrade your browser to a supported
version for NetBank. "
Supported Browsers in OSX include :
? Netscape V7.2
? Mozilla V1.7.3
? Firefox 1.0
? Safari V1.2
Probably because they would like their customers data to be
secure, and really Internet Explorer isn't any more. Be thankful
they've even heard of Mozilla, Firefox and Safari!
Heh... they didn't hear about it on purpose. They took a random
sample of customers and asked if they would like to test the new
version of their site. For one reason or another, they ended up
with a rather large proportion of Mac users in the test group.
The Mac users yelled and now Commbank supports Safari.
For the amount of money that they have noted for reconstructing their
Internet communications, I would hope so and if I was a stock holder,
questioning how come so much?
Also from a story I read a while back, lost URL unfortunately, but
corporate chiefs and executives love the look of the PB so it has
become very chic to have this tool of industry by your side on those
long flights. Besides try playing a DvD in a windows laptop wish you
luck.
But, I would suspect bean counters have calculated security is a
costly issue in the courts. Monies we make minus minor litigation =
bank profits still in front. So, deny, deny if they sue its cool, we
win still. Not so anymore, their are precedents and courts have
increased the payoffs, time to move the goal posts.
It is amazing how Customer Service, Satisfaction and honesty about
security issues have become buzz words of marketing, someone must
have swallowed a humanity pill.
Cheers!
