Hi Peter
You can change it to MP3 by going into Preferences>Importing and
selecting MP3 and the bit rate you want.
To change the current stuff to MP3 I think you will be able to right
click the selection in iTunes (after you change the setting to MP3) and
choose the "Convert selection to MP3" option. I am not sure if this
will give the exact same quality as importing from disc, but I think it
will.
Option 2 - buy an iPod.
