I've only experienced the iTrip.  It's a working portable solution  
but I find the range/quality often very annoying.  For something for  
home use the best thing in my opinion is a dock connected to your  
stereo.  That way you can play your music and charge your iPod at the  
same time.  Quality is much better too.  If you don't want to use a  
dock you can get the headphone jack to 2 RCA cable and attach that  
straight into the iPod instead of the dock.
