Transmit keep-alive feature

I use Transmit all the time for FTP.  I am beginning to think about 
switching to another app because of it won't keep my connections going. 
 I spend all day with several connections 'open' but I have to keep 
reconnecting if I don't do anything for a while.

Does anyone else have this problem?  Do they have a solution?  Do you 
have any suggestions for apps that do have this feature?
