Is the SONY DRX-800UL compatApple?

Hi,

I have the Alum Powerbook 1.25 ghz OS 10.3.9 (Tiger not far off) and 
was wondering if the Sony DRX-800UL
CD/DVD external burner would be compatible with my system. I have iDVD 
5.0.1 and Toast 6.03.

I think my PB's internal burner is playing up.
