My Sony DV camera works in PAL and when importing into iMovie there
is always a bit of shenaniging around as iMovie believes most of the
world is NTSC and if you inadvertently try to import PAL into an NTSC
new project it tells you so.
Reviewing some older clips today, transferred into iMovie sometime
ago, lo and behold I find a project in NTSC. Sure enough there are
29 and a bit frames per second and the extra seem to have been
generated by repeitition of one of the parent 25 PAL frames.
How can this happen? More importantly can I convert back again? I
suspect QT PRO will do it for me. Alternatively, I know I have the
original footage but on which roll and where on that roll?!
