I agree completely. I *hate* all the wasted screen space with all
the huge borders of finder windows. I want to change the size of
the icons and fonts in the sidebar. etc. etc. Tinker Tool provides
a little bit of flexibility, but not enough.
There is a need for a clever developer to implement changeable
'skins'. How about it, geeks?

Click the little pill thing in the top right of the window, then
close the window. Rinse Repeat, and it will eventually stay that way.
Then, install ShapeShifter.
