It's all horses for courses...personally I'm on the look out for some
thing cheap that I can just keep in the bottom of my day pack and
stuff like Kodaks might the bill nicely, I think if people can make
decent snaps with a Holga (and they do) then you can do it with even
the cheapest Kodak which is 10 steps up from that.
screen size ... to some people, like me, is not important. I
probably use it one shot in 30 or less to frame difficult shots like
overhead/low angle self portraits (which was the point and reason for
buying the A80 with the flip out screen) I far far and away prefer
to use the optical viewfinder and probably review only maybe one in
10 shots usually only to get the gist of the basic composition &
colour balance. Back home downloaded on the computer is the time to
get critical about what worked & didn't and what stays and goes so
most of the time the cameras screen's switched off and flipped back.
