My USB Yamaha speakers (with Sub) developed a very similar problem. However, I never got around to trying to get them fixed up. I can say though that as an interim solution I connected my speakers to the computer via the 3.5mm headphone jack and the problem was solved, the sound is perfect. I'm guessing that this problem must be something to do with the USB connection, rather then the speakers themselves. Haha, I probably haven't been much help here, but anyway... Good Luck. Thomas.
