I can find OS X updates for G2 Applications on the Canon web site
but not the original OS X G2 Applications.
Does anyone know where to get the OS X versions, please?
A kind Wamugger gave me a copy of the OS X Canon Utilities for another camera.
I installed it and it worked with the G2.
I decided to update it to version 5.2.1 using the updater download
from canon.com.au for the G2. When reading the precautions I found
what to do if your current version does not run in OS X.
You first update to version 3.0.4, this requires the original CD
inserted in order to run it. Then you update again to 5.2.1.
Really simple but on both updaters it states it is only for OS X and
when it talks of previous versions it does not say anything about
previous operating systems except for the note in the precautions for
5.2.1. Its as though they don't want anyone to find it.
I used this system to update the iBook, no problems.
