Does anyone know if its cheaper to photocopy B&W pages or to laser print?
I think it depends on what you printing and who is printing
ie do you have both machines, or do you out source ( ie go some where
else to get it done, such as, Snap, world wide, copy professionals,
jiffy print,post office, library, etc )
A4 laser printed off own machine is about 6c each ( lexmark E321/10.4.1
A4 copied at a printhouse 10- 20c each ( photo processing shop down
the road, Snap, World wide printing, etc
A3 is different kettle of fish
A3 laser print machine is min in $1600, then probably 10-15c/ sheet
photo processing shop down the road, a print shop etc - 20 -40c each
A1 good machine (HP deskjet) cost min $4000 then about $1.50 per sheet
A1 (scanned and printed, or a pdf) at print shop - $2 - 5 depending
where you go ()
Personally I laser print all my documents, whatever the number of
copies we need- I use a Lexmark E321 which does 19 pages/minute
At my church, I think 1- 30 copies are by laser, over 30 copies are
done by photocopier
